Water is run into the clay-pan, the steam turned on, andwhen the water is boiling, the china clay is added withconstant agitation; it is usually boiled for several hours,thus producing a very smooth paste. The tallow, wax,magnesium chlorine, ami zinc chloride are added to itduring the boiling. Water is run into one of the hecks belowand agitated, then the flour is added gradually one bag ata time until the whole has been introduced.
