The Kaka (Nestor meridionalis) is a large species of parrot of the superfamily Strigopoidea found in native forests of New Zealand. In nature Kakas are threatened by introduced mammals like stoats. Der Kaka ist ein großer Papagei aus der Gattung der Nestorpapageien in der Strigopidae-Familie, der in den Urwäldern Neuseelands lebt. In der Natur sind diese Vögel inzwischen von eingeschleppten Säugetieren wie Hermelinen gefährdet.
