In the lamb class for English breeds theOxford Down Hampshire cross, as exhibited byMr. T. Rush, secured the preference ot the judges,and won first and rn in the chus, the leading pentaking also the Breed Cup. It was a very finepen of mutton sheep, so also were those twoparticularly handsome and good basked pens ofthe Dorset Horn Southdown cross, exhibited byMr. James At the Smithfleld Club Show last week the Pen of Southdown Lambs shown above won the Prince of Waless ChallengeCup for the Best Pen of Three Sheep or Lambs in the Show bred by Exhibitor, The Championship of the Short-woolleiSheep section, and the First Prize for Southdown Lambs, and the £15 Cup for the Best Pen of Southdowns. They werebred and exhibited by Mr. C. R. W. Adeane, Babraham Hall, Cambridge. Age about 10 months; waight 3 cwt. 3 qr, 10 lb. perfection in the particularly handsome pen oflambs that won first honours for him, and whichwere subsequently placed as rn for the BreedCup. They were remarkably good in all respectsso far as regards flesh and conformation. Theirflock mates, a pen of rather smaller scale, werefourth. Second and he went to Mr. JamesFlower.
