The T&G Building (L) with its prominent dome roof in Napier, New Zealand was constructed in 1936 and designed by Mitchell and Mitchell, Architects


At on 3 February 1931 a massive earthquake followed by building fires virtually flattened the city of Napier. As the rebuild began planners and architects took the opportunity to redesign the roads and rebuild the city in an art deco style that was popular at the time,
