A. con- ventions were well represented. Seed bags were shown by the Milwau- kee Bag Co., Milwaukee, .Tnd the Beniis Bro. Bag Co., St. Louis, Mo., the former showing a wide range of sizes and stressing the "Milwaukee method of printing" and the latter featuring the Bemis A seamless cotton seed bag and illustrating the method by which the seamless bags are woven. The Bates Valve Bag Co., Chicago, >»«»?• showed a device for wire-tying bags. The Brown Bag Filling Machine Co., Fitchburg, Mass., exhibited its packet- ing machine and seed envelopes. Christian Becker, Inc., and the Tor- sion Balance Co., both of New York city and under the same ownership, showed their balances for seed testing. The makers of seed growers' equip- ment were represented by the American Fork & Hoe Co., 'nd, 0., and the J. E. Gilson Co., Port Washington, Wis., which exhibited seeders and cultivators. The Pacific Manure & Fertilizer Co., San Francisco, Cal., displayed descrip- tive literature and samples of its prod- ucts. Color in the trade exhibits was sup- plied chiefly by the catalogue showings of the A. B. Morse Co., St. .Joseph, Mich.; the Benton Review Shop, Fowler, Ind., and the A. T. De La Mare Co., New York. Tlie National Bureau had a roomful of exhibition cards covered with clippings of its newspaper educa- tional work and with letters from the newspapers expressing a
