The Monumento nacional a la bandera was erected on the Parana river, is known as the Flag Memorial, and is the burial site of a national hero, general and leader of the independence movement and creator of the Argentinian flag, Manuel Belgrano. It is a large park and public space with a neoclassical building and tall tower.
