Lit candles are seen on the graves on occasion of Shab-e-Barat in is a festival observed by Muslims between 14th and 15th night of 8th Islamic Month Sha'aban, who pray all night with the belief that God will decide everyone's fortune on this night. Additionally, Twelver Shia Muslims commemorate the birthday of 12th Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi on this date.
