Messerschmidt Me109, Lincoln, International Airshow. This is actually a Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 Buchon which is a Rolls Royce Merlin powered Messerschmidt BF109 built under licence in Spain. This one is owned by Spitfire Ltd, was built in 1959 and was one of 27 purchased from the Spanish airforce for use in the film 'Battle of Britain' in 1968. For the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain it has been restored to the markings it wore in the film.
