Diverging green laser beam
After being focused to a point by a lens the green laser beam diverges as the light propagates past the focal point. Because of the time reversal symmetry, a symmetrical picture would be observed before the focal point. Characteristic laser speckle pattern is apparent. This abstract photo can be used to illustrate a variety of concepts: path, future, focus, etc.
