By this device,the patient being in the dorsal position, the supra-pubicwound was effectively and painlessly held patent. Fenestraewere made in the rubber tube to prevent the urine fromrising within it and a wick of gauze, placed alongside thetube in the incision, drained off the urine as fast as itaccumulated. While
