Albert Heijn XL, Elandstraat, The Hague, The Netherlands. (14:00 hrs±). Sunday 15th March, 2020. Coronavirus (Covid-19) has people still in panic buying mode! The words of Dutch Prime Minister Rutte’s, not to hoard supermarkets supplies seems to have fallen on deaf ears - as selfish, egoistical shoppers continue to fill shopping trolleys with multipacks and leaving any rational considerate person without: how many vegetables can they consume given their short shelf life; unless - they are now Evangelical Vegetarians or Vegans? The Death toll in The Netherlands, is now (20) and 176 new Coronavirus infections and, according to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) the figure is 1135 and counting. The Worldwide death toll is now 6,000 people. Almost 160,000 people are infected and nearly 76,000 patients have now recovered. © Charles M Vella/Alamy Live News
