Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK. 15 June, 2023. Dead fish including what appear to be a mix of perch, pike and carp were floating in the Cut in Maidenhead Berkshire today above the Green Lane Weir. The Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service were according to social media, pumping oxygen into the Cut yesterday in an attempt to save the fish. There have been no recorded discharges by Thames Water into the nearby waterways from the Maidenhead Sewage Treatment Works in the past 48 hours according to their map. Speculation that the fish deaths could possibly be due to a lack of oxygen in the hot weather
