Climatic Research Unit (CRU). This research unit is housed in the Hubert Lamb Building, and is part of the School of Environmental Sciences, in the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK. This research unit became prominent in the media following the theft or leaking of e-mails and other documents in November 2009. Allegations were made of scientific misconduct based on the contents of the e-mails, though subsequent inquiries cleared the scientists involved.
