‘Fishing’, a mural by Edward Povey on the side of a fish and chip shop at 27-29 High St, Menai Bridge Anglesey, Wales in 1987. The mural was commissioned by the then shop’s owner Mr Radford (senior) and was painted gloss oil-based house paint on primed cement rendering in June 1980. It depicts a fishing trawler and fishermen out at sea. It is still in place, but faded and weather damaged – the building is now an Indian restaurant. English artist, Edward Povey (b. 1951), painted 25 murals on buildings in Wales and the North-West of England between 1975 and 1985.

It will look soft if used at too large a size – a vintage 1980s photograph.
