Queenborough, UK. 1st July, 2018. Blessing of the waters is an annually held united service of thanks giving and prayer for seafarers held in Queenborough Harbour. The historic service discharges the obligation to preach on behalf of the poor made on the Vicar of Queenborough in 1690 by two shipwrecked men whose names are unknown. The service was attended by Sheerness All Weather & Inshore Lifeboats, sea cadets, local fishermen & rowers. The service is held by Holy Trinity Church, Queenborough.
