Lt. Col. Dan Okamora (right), the sub area petroleum officer for 1st Theater Support Command, tells the story of how Brig. Gen. Joe Logan convinced Okamora to sign an Officer Candidate School packet 23 years ago, during a social hour prior to Logan visiting his units in theater, March 5 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Logan was Okamora’s battalion commander at one time and had shaped Okamora’s career early on.
