When one considers that these saws should be filed twice or tliree times a season, one will readily recognise that the existing Brazilian gins must damage the fibre. In order to demon- strate this fact I liad one and the same quality of cotton ginned by a saw-gin and by a small hand roller gin. The lint turned out bjr.
