Dorsal 7-8, originating about IJ times as far from eye as from root of caudal, above middle of anal; longest ray about J length of head. Anal 14-16. Pectoral about § length of head, extending to base of ventral; latter small, mucli nearer end of snout than root of caudal. Caudal rounded, a little longer than head. Caudal peduncle twice as long as deep. 26-28 scales in longitudinal series, 16 round body in front of ventrals; no lateral-line pits.
