September 10, 2018. - Russian cosmonaut Sergey Prokopiev posted a video on VKontakte social media where he revealed the small sealed hole in the wall of a Russian-made Soyuz space capsule docked onto the International Space Station (ISS). The hole covered with dark sealant is hidden under a padded flap. Sergey Prokopiev described how the astronauts discovered a 2mm hole where air was going out and covered it with three layers of sealant. Cosmonaut also said that the module is now completely hermetically sealed. On August 30 a drop in air pressure was registered on the ISS. The crew examined the compartments and add-on modules one by one to identify a two-millimeter hole in the hull of the Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft. The head of the Roscosmos corporation Dmitry Rogozin said the Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft had been damaged with a drill from the inside. A Russian MP Maksim Suraev who is a former cosmonaut said that the hole could have been drilled by an astronaut who was mentally unbalanced. The Russian space agency has convened a commission to investigate the incident which it said will present conclusions in mid-September. Screenshot of
