Pound, EXTRA EARLY HACKENSACK Burrells Gem.—Originated in Rocky Ford,Colo., the home of the celebrated Rocky FordMelons. This is very similar to Rocky Ford,excepting it has a yellow, or salmon-coloredflesh instead of the green flesh. It grows to avery desirable size, is closely netted, slightly rib-bed, with a dark green skin. The flavor is all thatcan be desired; very rich, sweet and tender.
