PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 30, 2019) – Quartermaster 3rd Class Darryl Chatman, from San Diego, marks the location of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25). Somerset is underway participating in Exercise Iron Fist 2019. Exercise Iron Fist 2019 is an annual, multilateral training exercise where and Japanese service members train together, share techniques, tactics and procedures to improve their combine operational capabilities.
