It is ofbrick and two stories in height. It was built in 1882during General Armstrongs absence in the HawaiianIslands, through the efforts of teachers and officersconnected with the school, and was later named for theTreasurer, General J. F. B. Marshall, the promoter ofthe scheme. Memorial Church was the gift of the Frederick estate through Mr. E. B. Monroe, Presidentof the schools Board of Trustees, and Mrs. Monroe. /m.
