A large Italian stonebow, mid-17th century Slightly curved iron prod, knotted hemp bowstring with wooden bridges and bullet pocket. Characteristically curved walnut tiller with decoration of scales and volutes with mascarons. The iron fittings are finely etched with decorative tendrils. The sights with a folding rear sight, the trigger needs cleaning and is not in working order. The tiller with worm damage and minor replacements in places, the finial replaced.
