. Key to profit in the garden. Nursery stock Pennsylvania Philadelphia Catalogs; Vegetables Seeds Catalogs; Flowers Seeds Catalogs; Gardening Equipment and supplies Catalogs. M. & S. NEW MAY QUEEN. Until quite recently an early pea, possessing the true, rich Marrowfat flavor, was an unknown vegetable, and to us it is a source of extreme gratification to have the honor of introducing a new Marrowfat Pea which surpasses all others in the early production of this coveted dish. Our May Queen is the result of a cross made in 1894, between Amer- ican Wonder and Prizetaker. As a matter of fact, our May Queen maybe gathered as early as Moore's Daisy, with the decided advantage of full Marrowfat flavor. The large pods of this fine, luscious, early pea are produced in the greatest profusion and we pro- nounce it the most delicious early pea ever grown. Height, 15 in. Pkt. ioc, pt. 30c, qt. 55c. SIMON'S GREEN MARROW PEA. This is a new English pea raised by Mr. Culverwell. It possesses a very robust con- stitution, and ample space should be given between the rows for the proper develop- ment of this strong, branching variety. It prefers rich, deep soil, and the seed should be planted four or five inches deep. It withstands drought better than any other sort. The pods commence setting at the bottom of the plant, which is usually about 3^ feet high, and are very thickly studded over the entire plant. The peas are of a beautiful, emerald-green color, and un- usually rich and sweet in fla- vor. This makes an excellent family garden pea. The pods, though not so large as our Fillbasket, are very numerous and if kept picked off while in the tender state, tinue to yield an unusually long time. Pkt. ioc.,qt. 25c, pk. $, bu. $ Will COO-.
