An exceptionally good fall trade in seeds, bulbs and strawberry plants, the latter a strong seller with this firm, is reported by William M. Hunt & Co., New York. Several of the Kevitt orig- inations in strawberries, notably Jubi- lee, California and Buekbee, distributed by this house have become extremely popular with eastern growers. That prince of eastern seedsmen, Alexander Forbes, of Newark, N. J., seems to have turned back the calendar and to grow more active and juvenile each year. And no wonder, for a suc- cessful business is right under his thumb. Everything points toward making "ForbesTseeds" (For-besT-seeds), a slogan that will be known for several hundred miles around Newark. Eecent changes in the building will give more space for the ofiSces, permit a more rapid handling of orders and carrying a larger stock of vegetable, flower and field seeds.
