Haverfield, Cadiz, Ohio, Sept. 21st, 1888, writes :—I like your Emerald Ge'.n Melon better everj- year, and I shall plant no other variety for our own family use. The MHiite Zulu Pole Brani?,, in my honest opinion, without exception, the very best of the pole varieties for a snap bean. The pods grow wonderfully large and hand- some, while the vines are luxuriant and remarkably pro- lific. Planted beside others, I consider the Mliite Zulu far ahead of any as a snap, taking into consideration qualit}-, quantity and appearance. The Blue Podded Butter Beans are splendid, very tender, of delicious flavor, productive, bearing large, handsome, straight pods, and ripening earlier than any other variety of Dwarf Beans. BUI^PBB'S CaI^LIESHT (SGAi^iiBJii BUTHTON) I^ADISH. Named and introduced by us in 1887, this new Radish had previously been tested all over the United States by cus- tomers to whom we had sent the seed for trial. Consequently there has been a very large demand for the seed, and grown upon a larger scale for market, it has fully sustained our claim that it is the very earliest radish in the 7narket. One customer reports that Burpee's Earliest was ready
