Byan expansion of this idea, the choir is made to bend southwards to showthe inclination of the Redeemers head upon the cross, while, as it wouldseem here, the porch is turned in an opposite direction, to indicate theposition of His feet. Another instance of the same principle of symbolism may be noted inconnection with a monument found under the floor of the nave. It re-.
