Dogs die due to bad environment. This is the grim reality of stray dogs living near Park Circus in central Kolkata- who are dying everyday because of industrial pollution from leather factories. According to a report by the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, presence of chrome-based tanning among Kolkata tanners, with inappropriate wastewater drainage and collection systems, was causing serious environmental, health and hygiene problems.
