ATLANTIC OCEAN (Mar. 29, 2019) Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class, assigned to the “Red Rippers” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11, performs maintenance on an F/A-18F Super Hornet in the hangar bay, aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Harry S. Truman is participating in a sustainment exercise (SUSTEX) with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG), an integrated, comprehensive exercise designed to ensure HSTCSG is ready to meet all mission sets and carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
