Portugal, Alentejo: Islamic terracotta plate with hunting scene in the Musem of Islamic Arts in Mértola


Mértola is one of the most important southern portuguese village in terms of islamic heritage. It´s Museum for Islamic Arts shows pieces found in Mértola and surroundings. This terracotta plate dates of th 11th century and was probably produces in Tunisia. It is on of the masterpieces in the Museum.
