Pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus) flying near the coast of Namibia in Africa. These birds, also known as Eastern white pelicans, live in large colonies in Africa and Eurasia. They feed mostly on fish by plunging their large bills into the water. Each bird can reach a length of up to 160 centimetres, with a wingspan of 280 centimetres. Photographed at Walvis Bay, Namibia.
