Another specimen, from McMinn county, Ten-nessee, is of argillaceous limestone. J. Form like last, with a flange around the top ofthe bowl. A typical speci-men, shown in figure 1S, is ofLoudon county, Tenuessee. There are, also, from Preston county, West Virginia, one of sandstone, and from Cald-well county, North Carolina, two of Bowls egg-shape, but quite long and sometimes rather pointed at the bottom; stem hole in the side. This class includes the following: From Savannah, Georgia; Roane county, Tennessee; and Adams county, Ohio, one each of sandstone; from Holt county, Missouri, one
