Aivukus, illustration. This extinct prehistoric walrus lived during the Miocene (23 to 5 million years ago). It was about the size of a modern walrus. It is thought that it fed on shellfish such as marine molluscs. Its fossils are found in coastal regions of the northern Pacific.
