It consists of a rack or frameworK about eight feethigh, erected about five feet away from the wall contain-ing heat and vent registers. The back or wall side of this rack contains hooks forclothing, but no doors or covering for same. The front orroom side of the rack may oe covered with blackboard, may contain shelves for books, or both blackboard andshelves as shown. Admirers of this scheme claim many advantages forit, but chiefly that it enables teachers to have surveillanceof the coat room space without leaving the school offset this and other advantages claimed, however, itmust be granted that the scheme is unsightly, unsanitary, wasteful of space and more expensive than any other coathanging scheme above described.
