"Further, the eyes of the gardener will be upon the seedsman more closely than ever, henceforth," ob- served David Eddy,, of Eddy & Sons, Saratoga Springs, N. Y. " Those who retail seeds must be veritable encyclo- pedias of agricultural information," he continued. "We compiled a descriptiva and attractive booklet entitled 'Do Your Part.' Our leading bank handed out more than 5,000 and, needless to say, it was mutually ; Baker Bros., of Eutland, Vt., report a good, but backward, seed season. The seed store of Graham Bros., on Sparks street, Ottawa, Ont., has burst into flame, so to speak, for it was but a few years back that the business was conducted in a comparatively insig- nificant way, though it filled all re- quirements at that time. The present biHlding is in keeping with the rapid march of healthy progress noted on all sides. Excellent demand is reported, with the season fully four weeks late. W. M. Logansport, Ind.—The Pleasant Hill Greenhouse is conducted by Mrs. Lilian B. McDonald and her daughter. They have made a success of the business for twelve years and Mrs. McDonald has educated and graduated two sons for the trade, both of whom now are located at Milwaukee. A. H.
