Brislington War Memorial, Bristol, UK. 8th November 2020. Although no official commemorations were held at the Bristol Cenotaph situated in the centre of the west country city this year, local residents in the nearby suburb of Brislington, were been given permission to hold their own socially-distanced Remembrance Service although very few face masks were seen to be worn and social-distancing was limited. Hundreds of knitted poppies have been donated from local residents and churches in Brislington and attached to the newly painted railings behind the memorial which has been cleaned over recent weeks in preparation for this year’s commemorations. Pictured: A two minute silence is held by local residents and members of the British armed forces.
