View ESE over the terminal & lateral burial chambers of Nympsfield Long Barrow to projecting jambs of constricted entrance from antechamber with main entrance & forecourt beyond. A Neolithic transepted gallery grave with four chambers in a long mound orientated SE-NW. The tomb has been excavated, the chambers left uncovered for viewing. Photo taken in August 1999 when drought & visitor erosion were affecting the site.
