A new hybrid Sweet Corn for 1961. Gold Strike is an outstanding medium-late Bantam Evergreen-type, which is adapted to this locality. Stalks are strong and vigor- ous, averaging 6V2 to 7' tall and generally producing two good ears per stalk. Ears are very attractive, 81,2" long, 16-18 rows, of deep, medium broad kernels. Kernels are bright yellow, tender, with excellent flavor and texture. Geld Strike has shown splendid drought and disease resistance. 85 days. The rind is exceptionally hard, making it a better shipper than other commercial varieties.
