It wouldbe interesting, at some future time, to study the eifects ofcivilization of the Indian in this regard. The next cranium (Fig. 41) which we will describe is themost remarkable of the series, and in many respects presentsphenomenal characters. The subject was a half-breed Mexican and negro, whohad left Mexico, his native country, for the good of his com-. Pig. 41. patriots.
