The deposits of the three preceding groups are mainlycontained in a crystalline (hornblendic) schist, associated Blue Ledge Group.—Twenty-three claims, owned by L. , Wni. H. Hamilton, and others, of Crescent City. Theproperty is developed by over 200 feet of tunnels and someopen cuts. A large body of sul-phide ore has been struck upon this property, one tunnelhaving penetrated the solid ore for a distance of more than lOOfeet, with cross-cuts showing a width of 40 feet or more. Theore bears pyrite, chalcopyrite, and other sulphides and oxidesof iron and copper. It carries a small percentage of zincblende and some (luartz. The average value of the ore isreported above 6 per cent, while some assays have shown veryhigh-grade results. vSamples have shown a reported value ingokl and silver of more than $5 per ton.
