A wild, non-captive european water vole, Arvicola amphibius, in Springtime evening light on April 14 2018. The vole was feeding on grasses and lesser celandine leaves, Ranunculus ficeria. In parts of continental europe the water vole is common, however in the UK the population has crashed and although locally common is classed as vulnerable to extinction. North Dorset England UK GB.
