This equestrian statue of King Christian X (1870-1947) of Denmark stands on Biskopstorv next to the cathedral. It’s a work of Danish sculptress Helen Schou (1905-2006), dating from 1955. It looks rather classic and is nicely balanced: the king sits calmly on his horse, extending his right arm, while the horse is raising his left leg.
