Stream breaks through snow cover at the Pré de Madame Carle, Ecrins National Park, French Alps.
A stream (the Torrent de Saint-Pierre) emerges from a thick covering of snow on the Pré de Madame Carle plain in the Ecrins National Park, French Alps. The stream is fed by the Glacier Noir and Glacier Blanc glaciers and its waters flow, ultimately, into the Gyronde, then Durance, then Rhone rivers.
