Canal Boat Urchins


Originally, the C&O Canal was a lifeline for communities and businesses along the Potomac River as coal, lumber, grain and other agricultural products floated down the canal to market. Its length is 185 miles and used to have a full population of boat people before the davent of trains and roads that could transport heavy goods. Moored boat has three small children on board, one clutches a doll.
