A German riding-sword, 1st half of the 17th century, Double-edged blade, slightly ridged on both sides, with fullers extending to the foible and crowned crescent moon mark on the ricasso. Iron knuckle-bow hilt with vertically recurved quillons and shell-guards. Spirally fluted wood grip with remains of Turk's heads. Conical iron pommel. Surfaces cleaned and partially pitted, the bars at the hilt partially soldered and added, respectively.
