He was for two years vice-President ofthe Providence Board of Trade, was for several yearsPresident of the Rhode Island Society for the Pre-vention of Cruelty to Children, for which society hewas chiefly instrumental in securing a fine home, andis a member of and has been a large contributor tothe Young Mens Christian Association.
