Knitted characters representing key workers on top of a post box in West End village, Surrey, UK, during the 2020 coronavirus covid-19 pandemic

A mystery knitter has been decorating post boxes with figures of key workers in a small Surrey village. The first knitted creation appeared on a post box in West End, near Woking, in April 2020 during the coronavirus covid-19 pandemic lockdown period, and more have been cropping up since. The knitted figures include NHS workers, bin collectors, firefighters, postmen, policemen, and other key workers.
