However, the manganese concentration at site F-1 is still three times greater than background levels which indicates a notable amount of manganese may likely be discharged from the wetland. Approximately one metric ton (2,400 lbs) of manganese has been deposited in the wetland acrotelm from the Swamp Gulch AMD.
