A cased percussion pistol, Pirmet, Paris, circa 1840. Octagonal (reblued) microgroove-rifled barrel in 12 mm calibre with a patent breech and a dovetailed front sight. "Pirmet à Paris" as well as "1" are inlaid in gold (somewhat incomplete) on top of the barrel. The percussion lock is chiselled with floral designs over its entire surface and bears another signature. Carved walnut stock (small defect at the lock, a few dents) with a fluted buttstock.
