The historic steamboat BJOERN of Randers, two Scandlines ferries, and fishing boats to the right in the harbour of Elsinore.

The vintage steamboat BJOERN of Randers, a Scandlines ferry leaving Elsinore for Helsingborg, Sweden, and one approaching its berth in Elsinore. Fishing boats along the quay to the right on a sunny spring afternoon. The vintage steamboat BJOERN (or BJØRN in Danish) represents a 100-year epoch in Danish maritime history between the sailing vessels and the modern motor vessels. It was built in 1908 and delivered to the port authorities of Randers in Jutland in 1909 where it served as a tug boat and an ice-breaker. It was taken out of operation in 1981 and has now been restored back to the original coal-burning steamship it once was. The image is taken from the pier outside the Culture Yard (Kulturværftet).
